I do.  the .misc renaming push of several years back proved to be a
failure.  It's not a bad idea to create a misc for brand spanking new
subhierarchies, but renames don't work.  Case in point: comp.lang.perl
was renamed to clp.misc 5 years ago and the older name is *still* out
there on way too many *big* swervers.  That sends lots of people to a
supposedly dead group and no one is helped by the confusion. 
Since this hierarchy already has an .announce group and no harm has
been done, there is no reason not to continue in the same vein and
simply add groups rather than breaking things with a reorg.
