You're getting close to the ugly truth of python: the version is all that ever
changes!  Quite some time ago, Guido stole python from the future with his
time machine, and now he just goofs off all day, occaisionally bumping the
version number to make people think he's doing some work, when all he's really
doing is shoving a few more libraries into the standard distribution.
