Hi,
This may be old news (sorry!), but there was a cryptic comment on NTK
("What with ESR's religious-war-by-the-backdoor plans to make Kernel
configuration dependent on Python...") that caught my eye. Turns out
that kernel config will be done in a new language (CML2) whose
interpreter is written in Python.
More info at http://www.tuxedo.org/~esr/kbuild/ (which I reached via
the Linux Weekly News kernel page http://lwn.net/2000/0525/kernel.phtml
)
