I'm sure it's cultural. Windows vs *nix. The experience with Alice 
was case sensitivity was a real problem for beginners (audience of 
Windows users). IPC8 also featured a talk by a High School teacher 
who found no problem with case sensitivity. But his computers were 
all Linux, so his students were already used to it.
