Case-sensitivity: why -- or why not? (was Re: Damnation!)

Oh, yes, before anyone points it out, I am aware that the same bodies of
knowledge which point to reading based on word form rather than sequences of
characters point to white space as a significant contributor to the
readability of text by allowing the eye to rapidly organise the text and
prioritise comprehension. Strange how Python is so often noted as being
"easy to read"...

Could it be a pattern?
