No, not for Esperanto. The proof: with very few exceptions, no one has
ever been immersed in an Esperanto community for more than a few weeks
per year, and yet many people speak it very well, in fact better than
languages they *have* been immersed in. For example, my Esperanto is
certainly better than my French, although I have been living in France
for four years.
