Debian and Python

   I am not Debian maintainer, just a happy user...

   It is not that simple as you think. There are other packages that
depend on 1.5.2. Most notable Zope. Until Zope would run on 2.0 I think
debian will not include 2.0... or at least will include both 1.5.2 and 2.0,
and most packages will require 1.5.2...
