The python.org machines hosting the mailing lists have inadequate free disk
space remaining, and crap out routinely.  Barry then does triage and gets
them moving again, but indeed some msgs (in both directions) appear to have
fallen into black holes forever.  I've seen this for sure on both Python-Dev
and the main Python list over the past week.  You're probably another victim
wrt the main Python list.  If you send a demand to Barry directly, he'll
refund your postage by return email <wink>.
