Have you tried:
   http://tony.lownds.com/macosx/

That did it for me.  I now have Python 2.0b2, SWIG 1.3a1, and
Numeric-17.0 existing together happily.  I can finally get some real
work done on my PowerBook!

If you run into problems, I'll be happy to answer questions.  Or,
well, try to.
