Visio, Actrix, Diagramming...

Are there any Python experiments with diagram editors
(like Autocad's Actrix or MS Visio) ?

I've cooked up some basic user interface idioms for editing the
nodes and edges of graphs (then apply a style sheet to the nodes and
edges to format the raw connectivity given by a graph into a diagram -
haven't done this part yet...).

I'd rather use Python/Com than the MS VBA that's the standard with
Actrix and Visio. Has anyone done this? Is it possible?
