looking for command-pipe performance advice

Why do you need the cStringIO module/objects? I do something similar with my
email, and don't use that at all.

Couldn't you just do this?

headers = rfc822.Message(sys.stdin, 0)

# header examination #

inject_message = os.popen('/var/qmail/bin/qmail-inject', 'w')
inject_message.write(headers+'\n')
inject_message.write(sys.stdin.read())
inject_message.close()


It saves on importing the cStingIO module, and you only have to work with the
body once, fewer variable assignments.
