Tkinter vs. PyQt

Any thoughts on how these compare?  Which would you use to write
a simple gui application?  How about a fancy application?

I've been playing with Tkinter for a few hours and have some sense
of its capabilities.  I've never programmed Qt or PyQt at all and
have no idea what they're like from a programming perspective, but
am pretty impressed with KDE applications I've used.

Thanks for any opinions/comparisons.
