bsddb btree open problems with libdb 3?

I just encoutered some problems on my Linux Mandrake system trying to open a
fresh db file with bsddb.btopen when bsddb.so was linked against libdb 3
(/usr/lib/libdb-3.1.so to be exact).  I switched back to anydbm.open and
that seemed to cure it.

Has anyone else had problems with btree files using libdb 3?
