PGP wrapper?

Hi,

I'm looking for a PGP wrapper written in Python that supports key
generation. Unfortunately, the -kg command in PGP requires a lot of
interaction; I've tried to wrap it and despaired... Does anyone have such a
beast? Or is anyone aware of a library version of PGP, so that I might call
the key-generation process directly?
