Yup, been there, done that.  I really regret throwing out all my
magazines from that era; many of the games would be fun to implement
as Python scripts these days.

(Resolute CBM techies may be interested in the online Transactor
archive at http://www.csbruce.com/pub/transactor/ .  Transactor was a
Canadian CBM magazine that was ferociously technical.  Regret throwing
*those* out, too. <sigh>)
