Best way to learn Python ?

"Python Essential Reference" by David Beazley is very handy and includes
a short tutorial.  If you plan to write gui's with Tkinter, then "Python
and Tkinter Programming" by John Grayson is excellent.  If you are on
Windows, "Python Programming on Win32" by Mark Hammond and Andy Robinson
looks good (haven't read but a little of it).
