Tabbing/Spaces & python-mode

hmm, at least with emacs python-mode & tabs, there is the slight
inconvenience that left arrow and right arrow only move one character
at a time, whereas with tabs they move the whole indentation step
at a time. i wonder if there's a way to remedy this ?
