Case insensitivity

I am new to Python and programming, in general.  It is much more important
to me that the syntax be consistent, rather than specifically easy.

In my newbie opinion, case sensitivity gives me the ability to make finer
distinctions in the names of things, though possibly I will also screw
myself by being too clever.
