I doubt that this particular discussion is contributing to his decision
making because it's a rehash of discussions that have been had before a
hundred times. I'm sure he's got better things to do than read it. It
could be productive if it lead to a new community consensus. Guido does
listen when enough people tell him he's wrong. But when half say he's
wrong and half say he's right, he's most likely to go with what he's
already decided.
