Good Newbie Books

The Python tutorial available free at python.org is good. "Learning Python"
by Mark Lutz (O'Reilly) is well-written and steps through the language with
lots of examples. I think David Beazley's "Python Essential Reference" (New
Riders) is essential, even for beginners, though it isn't quite enough to
learn the language from.
