Probems with IDLE

Hi,
  I am not sure if anyone of you have found this problem, but the regular
exit commands 'CTRL+C', 'CTRL+A', 'CTRL+X', 'CTRL+V' don't work all the
time. But if you go to EDIT>COPY OR EDIT>CUT etc. they work fine. Can
somebody fix this??
