Teaching Pyhton on Wintel

I second the notion to use PythonWin (it comes with the activestate
distribution). I found it a lot easier to get started with than IDLE.

Also, if you are working with scientists, you will probably want to
intoduce NumPy as well, it is a critical component in any Python based
number crunching.
