localisation of IDLE?

Hello,

it turned out that under Windows IDLE doesn't allow
cyrillic to be print. People pointed me that the
problem is with TK support for Unicode, which
broke cyrillic support.

Is there some edit-the-registry, tweek-Windows solution
to this problem (that is, solution, which doesn't
require to change files from Python distribution?

(ActivePython not an option).
