'with' statement in python ?

self drives me nuts too, but I learned to use it after trying "my" and
"_".
I kind of liked underscore, the blank, insert name here idea, but it is
hard 
to verbally communicate.  self is easy to communicate and well
understood.

my.a = 1
_.a = 1
