avl module by Samual M. Rushing

Hello,

I'm trying to use the avl module done by Samual M. Rushing in one of
our projects. I got some strange segfaults and tracked them down to
avl.so. I did a fix to get over this segfault, but I'm not shure
whether the fix affects data integrety. Before I create more tests, is
there a newer version then the one from 101098? Or any alternative?
