You speak about "ed" as if it were in the past tense. I still find it
useful on systems where emacs isn't available, either because it's not
installed or because enough of the system isn't up to support a
full-screen editor. Sure is a lot more convenient than trying to
patch a file with cat and dd :-)
Anybody remember SOS on TOPS-10?
