ANNOUNCE: Readline Alternative 1.2

I fixed some largely cosmetic bugs in this version, so the urgency is
low unless you are easily annoyed.

Question:  Is anyone interested in a port to Unix/Linux/BSD?  That is, 
are there many (indeed, any) users who hate the GPL badly enough to 
rip out readline entirely?

The only Windoze specific feature of this program is the use of msvcrt
for console I/O.  This is done differently in Unixoid OS's but is hardly
difficult.
