Python and gdk-pixbuf question ...

For the fun, I try to migrate an application I've made from C to Python.

I make a small use of gdk-pixbuf in this application, and I tried to use it
the same way in python. (ie Image = GdkPixbuf.load_from_file(file)). But it
didn't work ... 

Do you know if the support for gdkpixbuf is plain and working or if I have
to make this piece of code in C ...
