Adjust the main volume

Sorry if this is a duplicate message, I sent it previously, but it
never turned up on the list...

This is a Win32 question for now I'm afraid.

I've been tinkering with and audio control app in python, and I've
stumbled at controling the main system volume.  I have managed to get
and alter the "Wave" volume, but I can't find any way to get/set the
main volume control.

Any ideas?
