Take a look at http://home.online.no/~t-weh/releases/cdrom_info.py it might
do what you want. Messy code, but it works on Linux and WinNT/Win2k, not
Win98/ME though.

Any enhancements etc you might come up with or platform related
problems/updates are highly welcome.
