> You can send your donation to the PSF.

No, you cannot. Not yet. The PSF needs a favorable advance ruling from the
Internal Revenue Service before it can accept any donations, and we haven't
yet completed the mountains of paperwork needed for that. Before then, and
even despite appearances <wink>, nothing Guido says is to be read as a
solicitation for donations. Guido is not soliciting there! I believe he
wrote that line from a few months in the future, after the IRS ruled in the
PSF's favor. Of course, if you want to travel to the future and donate,
that would be way cool. But I'm not soliciting, and neither is Guido. I
would like a trip in your time machine, though.

> Soon this will be tax-deductible (for US citizens).

Well, so long as Guido is writing from the future and just reporting facts,
I have no objection.

Note that invitations aren't offered by Guido, so bribing him won't help.
Invitations are offered only upon majority vote of the existing membership;
and the BDFL only has one vote (so long as the membership doesn't vote him
out).

> but anyone can donate, much in the PSA spirit.

Another statement from the future. Unlike the PSA, the PSF actually has a
mission in mind:

More details will be forthcoming in the PSF's IRS Form 1023 filing.

Dates with Uncle Timmy are, although somehow that didn't make it into the
mission statement.
