There is a german book "Python und GUI-Toolkits", which implements
a contact database with four GUI-Toolkits (namely Tk, Qt, PyGTK 2 and
wxWindows) which might be of interest - but it's targetted at the
intermediate Python Programmer.

It will be out in May or early June.
