Ok that made me use google to try to look up what FUD means and it is:
"Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt".
I saw it before and knew it was supposed to be something bad but I was
always too lazy to look it up :)

Is there a way to peek into the latest python-dev messages? I could
not find a link at http://www.python.org/psa/MailingLists.html
Maybe if you subscribe to that mailing list (have to find their
address first) you get too much email to handle so being able to just
have a look at the lastest postings would be nice.
