I am still working with Mozilla via Komodo. Is it a pleasure? Off and
on, yes. The amount of stuff to learn in Mozilla framework is daunting
at first but once you get there some of the things you can do are pretty
cool. I can now generate high-quality (using XUL, CSS, etc.) and capable
(using PyXPCOM components) UI fairly quickly in Komodo. Sometimes the
lack of documentation in the Mozilla world is frustrating. But, as you
indicated, this is getting better with the first of what I hope are a
lot of books on the Mozilla framework. The Mozilla project has also
generated some excellent side tools (especially bugzilla and tinderbox)
which we (my co-workers and I) have found useful and fun to explore.

Cheers,
Trent
