You may be interested in RPy (R from Python) available at:

But, you'll have to learn R, if you don't know it ye. R is a free yet 
extremely powerful language for statistical computing, derived from GNU 
S and S+. For more detail, visit www.r-project.org.

BTW, R is objected-oriented and it's syntax would even be similar to 
Python's.
