Working on a python tutorial...comments desired

I've not looked at that one yet, but I quite liked the whirwind tour of
the language at the begining of _Essential Python_.  That and various
online sources were how I stumbled my way along.  The cookbook, in
either printed or online form, would have been a superb supplement, but
alas I didn't discover them until a few months ago.

I had bought the original snake book some years ago and really disliked
it - so much so that I threw it onto the dusty shelf where it still
sits.  I blame that for my ultimately unprofitable digression into PHP. :-(

More positively, though, I think there could be an excellent synergy
between a basic language tutorial (or even the official docs) and the
online cookbook.  The worst thing about the language & library specs,
IMO, are that they aren't very illustrative.  Linking to the cookbook's
recipies at appropriate spots could be an easy way to alleviate that.
