If you're releasing under windows, py2exe and the MacMillan Installer
are commonly referenced as good ways to get everything a user needs
packaged into one bundle. The MacMillan Installer appears to also work
under (at least) some flavors of Unix.

I've never used either, but both have been highly praised.
