backup script

I have a python script for this purpose. It can be configured by a
simple config file, can gzip files on the fly, can split to dirs so
that you can write to cd, floppy etc, can check disk space before
backup. Can event ftp to a certain location after backing up. Handles
broken links etc. It is a couple of thousands line of python code and
works on linux.
