Is pippy alive?

Is any active development still going on with pippy? I've found it to be
quite valuable as a learning tool for python, but now that I'm actually
ready to "do something" with it, the lack of a finished palm interface (and
floating point! though I can work around that) really hurts. I've checked
the CVS and various python archives, but little has been said about it
recently ...
