TWAIN Scanning...

The time has come, my friends, for me to ask a question 
rather than answer one.  How do I run a scanner from 
Python?  (I'm using 2.1.1 until the error reports about 
win32all for 2.2 die down a bit.)  I have tried working 
with the Kodak Imaging Scan Control (Imaging.ScanCtrl.1) 
but am not getting the way of it.

Hopefully someone can help me...
