I just ignore threads where I see from the subject that they don't
interest me. The downside is that I'll miss some gems hidden in these

I don't think wikis are useful for discussion, that's where email,
news and irc shine. I see wikis as an iterative way of collecting and
organizing content, with the addition that they can also contain some
half-finished content.
