Using mxDateTime

Hi:

I'm new to python and I have a need to use time/date functions.

I am running redhat 7.3 with the default python 1.52.  I just downloaded the 
appropriate mxDateTime RPM and installed it.  

How do I now make those mxDateTime functions available to me in my python 
program?  Since this is an extension module rather than a built in library, 
I assume I can't simply...

import mxDateTime
