        Most of us consider so-called "opt-out" schemes to still be spamming. 
Because using the remove option serves to flag the address as "live", 
making it worth $$$ should one sell the list of addresses.

        I never use the "remove" link/option -- if it's spam, it goes to a 
filter, said filter sends a complaint message to 
postmaster@<from/reply-to/errors-to/received hosts>
