It is based upon Python 2.2.1.

Hopefully we should have ActivePython 2.2.2 builds for you sometime next
week. We try to release ActivePython soon after a Python release. Python
2.2.2 happened to come out right in the middle of a Komodo release cycle
(another project I work on) so there has been a little bit of a delay.
