Thanks a lot to all the people who offered help.

Brian's solution seems to be best for me
since it comes with a patch to the most
recent version.

Many thanks, maybe I'll provide an installer, now :-)

p.s.:
I would still like to get a working 4.60, simply
in order to send it to a couple of sites, where
I retrieved versions which are not functioning.
