Is Jython welcome here?

Of course Jython is welcome here.

As far as I'm concerned, at least, Jython is just another implementation 
of Python. In the same way that Java has many different implementations, 
yet there arent' separate groups for each.

The fact that I can even say this, is a huge credit to the Jython team.

I think perhaps you don't see many of them because it's so close to the 
C Python implementation. People probably just ask Python questions, 
without worrying about where they are running it.

As for serious applications, I've ported a Python CORBA ORB "Fnorb" 
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/fnorb) to it, and I definitely know of 
at least one project that is using Fnorb on Jython.
