"which" command?

Hi,

A few days ago there was a discussion here about a
"which" written in python (as opposed to running
the OS "which" command). Any pointers to that thread?
As you can imagine it's been difficult to make a
sensible google groups query since I can't think
of any reasonably specific terms to search for...
