These are only pseudo-crosswords.  Like most automatic crossword
generators, it doesn't worry about symmetry, and it only crosses a few
words here and there.

Creating a challenging, interesting, and legitimate crossword puzzle is
very, very difficult.  Few humans can do it well, and it will be a while
yet before they can describe their own algorithms in such a way that it can
be automated.
