FreeBSD: Python exits on signal 11

I get this error on FreeBSD5 with Python 2.2.2, when I run an application
that does its job without errors on NT and Linux platform. It uses threads
and sockets as well (xqmlrpclib). It just stops after a while, displays this
error and does a core dump.

Any hints ?
