Oh, sorry, it should have been "for the slrn newsreader", not "for the
JED editor". What a silly mistake.
Slrn¹ can optionally reformat articles with long lines, but when it sees
a set of #v+/#v- it will leave the lines inbetween unchanged - much like
the <pre></pre> HTML tags. Also, it can display text within verbatim
marks in a different color.
